Who Took the Life of the Decapitated Gentleman once so Afraid of Death that He Tried to Cheat It ?
Four dead gentlemen's heads have been cut and put together in a cabinet of curiosities. To their dismay, an occult trick has been played on them: robbed of their death, they are left with nothing else to do but talk. Waiting for their eternal rest, they engage in endless conversations.
A bizarre 19th century tale of death, vengeance and friendship awaits.
π Engage the heads into unique one-on-one conversations, depending on the topic of the two shelves available
π Choose carefully which conversations you want to hear : the heads might not stay intact forever...
π Collect the clues and answer the title of the game by typing the name of the culprit at any time
Experience a visually rich and living cabinet of curiosities, with multiple frame-by-frame animations and handmade black and white art. Featuring music by Chopin and Debussy, the game is a celebration of the late 19th Century aesthetics.
"Who Took the Life of the Decapitated Gentleman once so Afraid of Death that He Tried to Cheat It (with Obvious Failure) ?" is my first solo game ! Usually more familiar with written works, I wanted to experiment on blending writing and narrative design within a super short game. It was essentially an exercice for me, but I'm happy to share it with you! If you enjoyed the game, let me know it in the comments, but most importantly let me know if you encounter any bug or issue.
